Hookwood roads closures

Please be aware that road improvements/maintenance is taking place on and around the Longbridge Roundabout for a month starting on 2nd October. The following roads will be affected:

(a) the entire length of the carriageway known as Longbridge Roundabout, situated at or adjacent to the junctions of A217 Reigate Road, A23 Brighton Road and Povey Cross Road

(b) that length of the south-west to north-east arm of Brighton Road (A23) Hookwood which extends from its junction with Longbridge Roundabout for a distance of 480m in a north-easterly direction

(c) that length of Povey Cross Road (C64) Hookwood which extends from its junction with Longbridge Roundabout for distance of 70m in a south-westerly direction;

(d) that length of the north-westbound and south-eastbound carriageways of London Road (A23) Hookwood/Gatwick which extends from its junction with Longbridge Roundabout for a distance of 70m in a south-easterly direction.

The work will take place between 8pm and 6am and means those roads will be closed to traffic. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes are available:

Alternative Route 1 – A23 Brighton Road, B2036 Balcombe Road, A2011 Crawley Avenue, Tushmore Roundabout, A23 London Road, A23 Brighton Road and A23 Airport Way; Alternative Route 2 – A217 Reigate Road, C62 Reigate Road, C62 Charlwood Road, C62 Horley Road, C63 Lowfield Heath Road, Old Brighton Road South, A23 London Road, A23 Brighton Road and A23 Airport Way; Alternative Route 3 – A217 Reigate Road, C62 Reigate Road, C62 Charlwood Road, C62 Horley Road, C63 Lowfield Heath Road, Old Brighton Road South, A23 London Road, Tushmore Roundabout, A2011 Crawley Avenue, B2036 Balcombe Road and A23 Brighton Road.
